Bermondsey Development
I would like to thank you and your GBS team, (on site and office based) for all the help and advice, support GBS gave to London Square on our Bermondsey Development. This development, being a refurb and new build, had multiple complicated situations where we needed to call upon GBS for some support and advice on how to overcome these situations. With GBS support and their contacts with FSI, we were able to overcome everything that was thrown at us. I am sure that I am not alone in being enlightened to the various product and systems that are available and the approved systems that came out of all the various discussions on how to resolve the various issues. Due to the complexity of the building being listed, there were a lot of passive fire protection solutions required, so it was brought up to current regulations, and with GBS assistance this was achieved and GBS able to have all their works certified and signed off by FSI and the Building Control/local authority. Bermondsey proved to be a successful development for London Square and GBS played a big part is achieving this.

The works were highly complex due to the numerous interface conditions which often required lengthy coordination between suppliers, regulation authorities and building control to ensure all performance requirements were met and approved. GBS led the coordination in a pro-active and professional manner at all times and allowed the works to progress in accordance with the site programme. The quality of the reports provided to evidence testing and performance data to achieve approvals was commendable and allowed what was a complicated process with numerous interested parties to run as smoothly as possible. Copperhouse Green
We had NHBC Building Inspector here this morning to look at fire stopping to Level 1 in order for us to close ceilings up for Monday. He was very impressed with what he saw and scored us well in the NHBC book. It was suggested that we use L1 plots 277-285 as a barometer for the remaining floors in order to get Pride in the Job status. Can you please let Harold & Andreas know and to keep up the good work.
